Facilities Labourer
At SMS Equipment, our Facilities Labourer is responsible for a variety of general labourer duties around the building. Our ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in a post secondary program, motivated to work independently and will have a strong safety awareness. This position is in Acheson, AB.
The shift rotation for this position is Monday - Friday. This is a part time position with 20 hours per week.
The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- General maintenance of building, facilities and surrounding parking lots and yards.
- General building and yard clean up.
- Site checks, for facilities quality and appearance.
- Painting, furniture moves, office relocations, minor repairs.
- Assist the Facilities Maintenance Technicians as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be currently enrolled in a post-secondary program. Additional requirements include:
- Strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
- Motivated to work independently when assigned tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and high-quality work.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Able to perform physical tasks each day; lift up to 50lbs.
- Experience working with basic hand tools is an asset.
- Knowledge or interest in building maintenance is an asset.
