This role is base out of Acheson AB and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

The salary range for this position is $85,500 - $95,000 per annum.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Mining Equipment Sales Support - Prepare monthly updates on mining equipment inventory projections and budget vs. forecast reports. Provide ad hoc mining sales forecasts for the Executive team. Assist in annual budget preparation and review cost worksheets to identify any discrepancies in equipment sales quotes. Generate and analyze mining accounts receivable sales reports and follow up with Mining Sales Representatives on AR collections. Respond to inquiries from Mining Sales regarding FX rates, interest, and financial details. Coordinate booking forward contracts for Mining Equipment Sales.

  • Supporting Equipment Sales Through Financing Solutions - Identify and recommend financing programs to support equipment sales. Collaborate with Komatsu Financial and other lenders to provide financing solutions to customers. Build and maintain relationships within the equipment financing community. Prepare and present financing options to customers that may be delivered directly or by the Sales Representatives. Coordinate financing applications and contracts with financial institutions. Manage the entire financing process from application to completion. Be available to discuss financing requests with sales teams and customers (evenings and weekend as needed). Develop amortization schedules, lease/RTS buyout numbers, and financing documents. Draft and manage rental contracts and amendments for rent-to-sell deals.

  • CRM System Administration - Ensure the CRM tool functions properly and accurately displays sales data. Provide ongoing training and support for CRM tool users, including manuals and presentations. Serve as the primary contact for tool-related quoting issues, collaborating with the Director of Digital Transformation and CRM team to address issues and implement solutions. Prepare CRM-related reports and presentations for sales meetings. Gather feedback from the Mining Sales Team to improve CRM functionality and reporting, make suggestions for improvements. Assist in implementing CRM enhancements to improve reporting and data management.

  • Additional Duties - Assist with special projects as directed by the Supervisor, Mining Support. Support Parts and Service Managers in exploring financing options for mining customers. Serve as the primary equipment finance contact for SMS Equipment (Alaska) Inc. Ensure all mining equipment transactions comply with Personal Property Security Act (PPSA) requirements. Keep Sales Representatives informed on current financing programs and their applications. Conduct training sessions on existing and updated finance programs.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will hold a CPA designation with a minimum of two years of relevant post-designation experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered. Additional qualifications include:

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to influence customers and external financing companies.
  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project, and dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States (including Alaska).
  • Experienced in ROIC (Return on Invested Capital) modelling.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including MS Office (Excel) and TValue.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
