Sign Freight Delivery Driver Manufacturing Acheson Alberta Manufacturing Full-time

We are hiring a truck driver/runner in our Alberta locations, Edmonton based.

DUTIES

• Transport a variety of signs packaged in wooden freight of all shapes and sizes and safely transport them to our Onsite Sign shop locations. (Lloyd, Edmonton, Calgary)
• Ability to arrange and safely strap loads for both local and long distance hauls
  
• The ability to secure delicate freight to ensure protection while traveling
• Communicate with shop managers to coordinate freight
• Regular trips to Calgary and Lloydminster; occasional trips to outlying offices may be expected
• Assist the Acheson shop shipping & receiving department with receiving freight or loading trailers
• Monitor daily deliveries and/or pick ups that are needed and coordinate your day as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class 5 Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
• Ability to pull a variety of trailers, including a gooseneck
• Physically fit - able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 100 Ibs)
• Previous professional driving experience is preferred
• Ability to work in a variety of temperature and road conditions
• Willingness to learn the sign industry and expectations for keeping signs safe during transport
