We're looking for an experienced Project Manager for our SBB Division. Our SBB Division has operations in High Prairie and Slave Lake, Alberta and Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in Project Management roles within a manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of electrical & control systems in an industrial industry is an asset.
  • Broad and practical experience and demonstrated knowledge in manufacturing with a good understanding of conveyers, equipment, vendors and industry practices.
  • Industrial or Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
  • Experience in Engineered wood, MDF, Particular Board considered an asset.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) or relevant experience.
  • Ability to work on various projects simultaneously, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with minimal supervision.
  • Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical documents including schematics and prints as well as interpret engineering tolerances.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Recap.

      In this role, you will:

      • Lead and direct technical and administrative project teams, as well as oversee contractors and installation teams on approved capital projects.
      • Execute and monitor project activities, including preparing and updating project plans, status reports and quality metrics of projects.
      • Manage changes to scope, cost, resources and schedule of project work, ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget.
      • Coordinate priorities and resources between multiple projects.
      • Participate in project performance review meetings and discussions, and corporate business development activities.
      • Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed.
      • Account for engineering tasks to ensure they meet contract requirements.
      • Act as a liaison between Tolko and consulting firms & vendors.
      • Work from home approximately 20% of the time, and travel to Tolko sites during week days, up to 80% of the time.
