About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is a Journeyperson Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic tasked with overseeing the optimal operation and maintenance of the Newall HVDC converter station. Working under senior guidance, the incumbent ensures electrical power is transferred safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do:
Situational shift work, rotational shift work and rotating standby (on call) is considered as part of this job. Some travel is involved which could include remote locations
What You Bring:
An expectation of this position is to, at times, provide after-hours stand-by duties. As such, you will be required to maintain a residence within 60 minutes of Newell Converter Station.
