What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Assessing the condition of existing building envelopes, recommending solutions for failed building envelopes, and authoring of reports.
  • Building envelope design review of architectural drawings and specifications
  • Review of submittals, shop drawings, substitution requests and requests for information
  • Mock-up review, plant visits and witness testing
  • Design and preparation of construction documents of building envelope assemblies in restoration
  • Preparing specifications and drawings for rehabilitation and design projects
  • Conducting construction contract administration and construction review services
  • Performing building condition assessments, performance audit, asset and property review/assessment, reserve fund studies, design, and coordinating various building repair(s)
  • Liaising with clients, building strong client relationships, and generating new business

What your experience looks like

  • A degree in engineering and registered as an Engineering in Training with APEGA.
  • 2+ years experience in building construction such as a laborer, project coordinator, field engineer.
  • Willing to work at heights and using tools to access at elevated building elements.
  • A valid driver's license with own vehicle and travel throughout Alberta is required.
  • Skilled at written and verbal communication.
