Our Training and Compliance Delivery team is looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our team! This is an opportunity to work with real time operations system controllers and managers, operations support personnel, and Reliability Standard Owners and Requirement Owners. You will support all aspects of the development and maintenance of our ongoing compliance to AESO-applicable Alberta Reliability Standards and ISO Rules. You'll be reviewing Alberta, North American Electricity Reliability Coordinator (NERC) and Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) standards, and drafting Reliability Standard Audit Worksheets (RSAW) to ensure all aspects of standards implementation. You will monitor events and complete root-case analysis, gather evidence, prepare reports and documentation, and provide audit support to contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key accountabilities include:
Provide compliance expertise during Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS) development and implementation processes
Collaborate with Standard Owners and Requirement Owners to draft and maintain Reliability Standard Audit Worksheet narratives with the related evidence
Draft Internal Business Practices to demonstrate compliance with Alberta Reliability Standards prior to the standard effective date
Participate in the review and analysis of new or revised Alberta Reliability Standards that apply to the AESO from an audit evidence perspective
Determine ongoing evidence required for AESO compliance with each assigned requirement
Gather, collect and analyze relevant data and evidence to demonstrate compliance
Gather and review evidence for possible AESO compliance contraventions to ARS and ISO Rules
Draft internal event analysis reports including root-cause analysis and NERC cause coding
Draft self-report forms, mitigation plans, mitigation plan completion forms
Annual self-certification review of AESO compliance with ARS as per the Annual Implementation Plan
Liaise with other departments during internal and external audits
Provide business process support including data analysis and preparation of reports, and presentations

Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field
