Your Opportunity to Lead and Succeed


As Director, SMB Sales - Western Canada, you'll be at the helm of our regional sales strategy, leading and inspiring a high-performing team to drive TELUS' market share across Western Canada. You'll balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership, ensuring your team excels at delivering innovative solutions to small and medium businesses while achieving ambitious growth targets.

What You'll Do

  • Develop Winning Strategies: Design and execute the sales strategy to drive SMB growth in Western Canada.
  • Inspire and Lead: Coach and develop a team of Sales Managers and Representatives to exceed ambitious goals and KPIs.
  • Optimize Performance: Analyze sales activities and KPIs, celebrating wins and applying coaching strategies to maintain momentum.
  • Collaborate for Success: Partner with Marketing and Product teams to refine campaigns, products, and processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive Customer Success: Guide your team in prospecting, proposing, and closing deals while managing customer lifecycle migrations.
  • Be an Ambassador: Represent TELUS as a senior leader, demonstrating our values and fostering strong relationships across the organization and community

Your Qualifications

  • Leadership Excellence: A track record of building and developing high-performing sales teams that consistently exceed targets
  • Sales Expertise: Mastery of sales methodologies, coaching frameworks, and CRM platforms like Salesforce.com
  • Resilience and Agility: An adaptable, curious leader eager to learn and evolve in a competitive landscape
  • Data-Driven Decision Maker: Deep understanding of KPIs, funnel management, and the ability to synthesize data into business insights
  • Exceptional Communicator: Able to articulate vision, inspire teams, and influence stakeholders across a matrixed organization
  • Industry Knowledge: Wireless experience is an asset
  • Education and Experience: A university degree and experience leading sales teams in a matrixed organization are required
