Profile

The GSE Maintenance & Management Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance, management, and tracking of Ground Support Equipment (GSE). This includes performing in-house repairs, coordinating third-party maintenance, implementing asset management systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Perform in-house maintenance and repair of GSE and related equipment.
  • Coordinate and track third-party repairs and servicing.

2. Asset Management:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of an asset tracking program for various equipment, including tugs, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom, telehandlers, stairs, jacks, GPUs, hydraulic carts, lifting devices, vehicles, and other GSE assets.
  • Conduct and track inspections (e.g., 90-day inspections, annual certifications).
  • Label, organize, and track inventory and equipment locations.

3. Process and Procedure Development:

  • Assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures for equipment use, maintenance, and safety.
  • Develop safe work practices, signage, and preventive maintenance schedules.

4. Fueling Operations:

  • Procure and manage fuel for diesel and gasoline equipment.
  • Maintain fuel trailers and associated equipment.

6. Rental and Vendor Management:

  • Manage equipment rentals, including GSE, MEWPs, and forklifts.
  • Review and update vendor lists to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

7. Initial Setup and Inventory Management:

  • Create an inventory list, tag and label items, and assess serviceability.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs using a management system (e.g., MEX).
  • Work with production teams to identify equipment needs and surplus.

8. Miscellaneous:

  • Move equipment, tools, and supplies between hangars.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in GSE maintenance and management or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs and asset tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with GSE types, including tugs, forklifts, GPUs, and hydraulic carts.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards for equipment use and maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
