The Opportunity
The School of Manufacturing, Automation and Transportation is looking for two full-time temporary Instructors to teach in the Automotive Service Technician Program. The focus for this position will be instructing students in the theoretical and laboratory training portion of the programs.

The Role
Instruction in Automotive Service Technician theory and practical curriculum. Instruct and demonstrate course outline objectives, projects and outcomes.
Prepare additional study and lab materials for learners
Evaluate student progress and achievement
Provide ongoing support, guidance and advice to learners
Perform related duties as assigned to meet the emerging needs of SAIT and its students
Qualifications
Minimum
5 years recent Industry Experience - maintenance, repair, troubleshooting of passenger vehicles
Ability to read, interpret and deliver Apprenticeship program curriculum
Certified Red Seal Journeyman Automotive Service Technician
Preferred
Health and Safety training in the Automotive Industry
Teaching or training experience
Proficiency in MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Brightspace (LMR) and Zoom
Knowledge & Skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, comfortable with public speaking
Excellent organizational and time management
Aptitude for mentoring and coaching others
Ability to adapt to situations such as unexpected workloads, scheduling changes, etc.
