Reporting to the Manager, Digital Risk Practice and Resilience, the Resiliency Planning Lead is responsible for coordinating the execution of Teck's IT disaster recovery plans and exercises to ensure assets and operations affected by disruptions are restored in a timely manner. Working as part of the Cybersecurity team, this role requires strong attention to detail, alongside the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to improve the organization's resilience while ensuring business continuity. Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Champion the 3 lines of defense model for risk management and act as a 2nd line of defense facilitator regularly interacting with the 1st line of defense
Chair and build a network of champions to communicate enterprise continuity standards, set goals and objectives, and identify measures for implementation
Collaborate with IT department heads to understand their specific continuity requirements and oversee their integration into relevant IT DRPs - all aligning to the overall Business Continuity Plan
Coordinate and manage regular testing and simulations of IT DRPs to ensure their efficiency and support continuous improvement
Assist in training and awareness programs for employees on IT DR procedures and best practices
Assist in the evaluation and selection of third-party vendors and partners to ensure they meet business continuity requirements
Own and drive a master schedule for IT DR exercises across the organization
Participate in post-incident reviews and recommend improvements to improve future response and restoration efforts
Build a centralized registry of findings to enter findings, identify and prioritize actions, monitor action plans, and close findings
Be a subject matter expert that the champions can go to for continuity advisory and mentorship
Monitor industry trends and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and standard processes in business continuity management and disaster recovery planning
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Emergency Management, or a related field
A post graduate degree or equivalent experience is an asset
10+ years of proven experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, or related
Certification in business continuity management (e.g., AMBCI, MBCI, CBCP, MBCP, ISO 22301) is required
Strong knowledge of business impact analysis, risk assessment, and continuity planning methodologies
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong project management skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring operational resilience
Proficiency in using business continuity software and tools
Experience in crisis management and incident response planning is a plus

Salary Range: $117,000 - $144,000
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
