Maintenace Aide

Relevant Experience in yard and Building maintenance

• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, have mechanical aptitude, physically able to perform required duties, ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• 1-2 years' experience in all aspects of building and yard maintenance preferably in an institutional setting.
• carry out repairs on malfunctioning yard equipment
• Carries out necessary ground's maintenance including yard duties and snow removal
• make general repairs such as touch-up Drywall, painting, replacement of tile and other similar work in the building
• perform janitorial duties as required
• perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner and maintains a work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition
• Respect resident privacy
• Advocate for residents
• work in collaboration with other staff to ensure minimal disruption to residents.
• Participate in developing action plan to resolve customer complaints/ concerns.
