Currently, we have an opportunity for a:

Municipal Alberta Land Surveyor - Calgary or Edmonton

Who can lead our growth initiative of building a municipal land survey and construction survey operation in the Alberta market, focusing on civil infrastructure and land development projects. This is the perfect opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual looking to break out of the traditional survey business mold and join a group of progressive-minded professionals seeking to redefine the industry.

The Work

  • Start and build working relationships with potential clients
  • Network via various local construction and land development associations
  • Maintain existing client relationships through work execution, delivery, and continual client communication
  • Build a team of field surveyors and CAD technologists that can work and operate within our virtual office environment
  • Compose proposals and bids to procure new work continually
  • Manage projects from start to finish
  • Work with our existing Alberta operations, sales, and admin teams through the virtual office environment
  • Work with our other divisions (environmental/engineering) to find opportunities for cross-marketing

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Strong focus on relationships, both internal and external to CORE
  • Desire for excellence in all that you do
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to liaise with clients
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the industry
  • Must be registered as a member of good standing in the Alberta Land Surveyors' Association
  • Experience with business development initiatives
  • Solid understanding of municipal regulations and processes throughout Alberta

The Workplace: This is an office position. Candidate must be able to set up a suitable work environment within their home. There is also a strong business development component that entails setting up and attending meetings with various clients.
