Your Role
As National Project Logistics Manager you are accountable for delivering strategic and complex logistics projects safely, on time and within the budget. You will also oversee cost improvements and operational efficiencies, from planning to delivery including design and execution, which is the keystone in the Project Logistics Control Tower in Canada. You will focus on industries such as oil&gas, mining/metals, energy/renewables and industrial accounts in the assigned region as well as large scale engineering procurement construction (EPC) projects.
Your Responsibilities
Leading the project logistics operations team and their day-to-day activities
Responsible to hire, manage staff, mentor staff and develop KPI (Key Performance Indicators) metrics
Develop detailed project charters and plans (goals, objectives, strategy, scope, budget, scheduling, risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, approach, requirements, deliverables, timelines and training needs)
Establish communication plans and conduct regularly scheduled briefings regarding status, issues, and challenges with customers, subcontractors and other relevant stakeholders for all projects
Consistent understanding of customer expectations relative to safety requirements, operational solutions, timelines, costs and results (customer retention target)
Ensure knowledge of industry best practices to recommend strategic directions and benefits for both Kuehne+Nagel and customer operations
Leverage best practice solutions and process improvements from across the global business to continuously deliver value to customer's dynamic supply chains
Responsible for Project Logistics administration, such as but not limited to FSL (monthly file closing), rolling forecast accounts receivables and accounts payables
Data entry and invoicing of operational files in Kuehne+Nagel systems.

Your Skills and Experiences
Bachelor's degree in business, transportation, logistics, supply chain management, engineering or a related field preferred
10+ years of experience working in the Project Logistics environment
Strong leadership, project management & customer service experience
Proven experience in mining, oil&gas, renewables and energy infrastructure projects
Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills required
