About this opportunity:
Workplace and Real Estate has a great new opportunity as a Program Scheduler. Your primary responsibilities are to develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Microsoft Project while supporting project schedules by facilitating workshops to build schedules with logic and sequence and maintain portfolio of integrated schedules from Gate 1 through execution and closeout. The successful candidate will conduct baseline schedules and compare to actual performance and seek innovation and execution plans that could improve project economics (i.e. back end loaded).
What you'll do:
Create schedule views & layouts that support the identification of interface concerns; Work with execution teams to mitigate any interface issues identified
Form links with other program planners to identify where there is potential for information sharing to improve efficiencies
Define and optimize critical paths, perform total float analysis and notify project management status of critical activities and schedule risks
Produce consolidated progress reports and analysis and provide functional support to independent project reviews
Conduct "what-if" scenarios, recovery plans, contingency planning, budget scenarios and identify schedule compression opportunities.
Perform schedule risk analysis (gather data, input data, analyze, report) on a periodic basis or as required
Support standardization of Schedule Management deliverables and processes across all assets to achieve efficiencies and common schedule layouts within the team
Provide support on development of project cost expenditure forecast curves and ensures that the MOC process is followed and integrated with project cost forecasting
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
4+ years of experience scheduling with Microsoft Project and major oil & gas industry project experience from early-stage development planning through construction is considered an asset
Experience in project management and portfolio management
Demonstrated strong written and oral communication and facilitation skills
Experience working in Microsoft Project for the Web and with Primavera P6 is considered an asset
Proven ability to work independently, take direction and work with all levels of management and project staff
Effective multitasking abilities and thrives in a fast-paced, highly productive team environment
Supportive of team members and other relationships to build trust and commitment across teams
