Reporting to the Sr. Supervisor Maintenance Projects, the Project Coordinator will support the project management team in the safe and successful execution of assigned capital projects. The Project Coordinator will focus on assisting project teams through all aspects of project management including estimating, scheduling, cost management, construction, commissioning, and project handover to Operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supports overall project management activities for hydrocarbon-based infrastructure capital projects by assisting with; project scoping, cost estimating, construction schedule development, stakeholder engagement, project meeting scheduling and minutes, construction execution progress reporting and issue resolution, commissioning planning and turnover of project information to Operations.
  • Assists in HAZOP gap closure and participates in asset risk registers reviews.
  • Works with construction management to support the resolution of project conflicts.
  • Supports early planning and execution of project commissioning and turnover of Gibson assets to Operations.
  • Collaborates and coordinates closely with operations field staff, construction staff, construction contractors, engineering firms, and other stakeholders as required to advance the project(s).
  • Participates in the appropriate Process Safety related analyses (PHA/HAZOP, LOPA, etc.).
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of work processes in support of Gibson Energy's Operations Management System (OMS).
  • Compliance with Gibson Energy policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor of Science Construction Project Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to be a motivated team player and capable of support several projects concurrently.
  • Exhibits strong attention to detail and demonstrates a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with functional and operating areas.
  • Represents and promotes the company in a responsible, positive and professional manner.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Working Conditions

  • Travel to project site locations may be required 10-20% of the time when working from an office environment.
  • When employees are outside of the office, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.
  • This job is subject to background checks as outlined in Gibson Energy's Background Checks policy.
