The Regulatory and Transmission Services Team provides regulatory, project, mapping, geospatial analysis and cost support to connection and system projects. As stewards of the AESO connection and system processes, we produce and maintain process documentation and tools.
The Project Systems Administrator will manage and maintain the Adobe Workfront project management tool, develop and configure the tool to meet business needs, create and maintain custom reports and dashboards, and develop and maintain interactive web based reports such as the Power BI Connection Project List dashboard. In addition they will work to maintain and configure various SharePoint online sites.
The position coordinates cross functionally with other technical specialists within the Grid Reliability business unit to assess and implement business needs, including project management, engineering and regulatory disciplines, and is engaged with team members in business groups that specialize in forecasting, IT, analytics, and communications. Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Applying industry best practices, methods and tools to develop and maintain the Adobe Workfront project management tool and SharePoint Online.
Assessment of business needs and development and implementation of solutions in the Adobe Workfront project management tool to meet those needs.
Timely production and continuous improvement of reports, dashboards and other data assessment tools.
Provide leadership and technical expertise in resolving incidents, problem management and implement infrastructure/system changes.
Proactively identifying and implementing improvements to data products and services, promoting efficiency and identifying opportunities for process automation.
Developing and maintaining a clear understanding of the AESO connection, system and cluster assessment processes, and their relationship to the project tools.
Delivering high-quality tool support with acceptable service delivery timeframes.
Collaborating with subject matter experts to enhance the quality and presentation of reports and dashboards and collect user information requirements to produce new reports and dashboards.
Maintaining productive and positive working relationships with AESO staff.
Preparing, maintaining and refining tool functionality, project data, reports and dashboards. Developing new reports and dashboards as required.
Staying abreast with new project management tool technologies and project reporting tools and analyzing such technologies and tools to bring into scope of existing infrastructure.
What you'll bring to us:
University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Previous utility experience is considered an asset.
3 to 5 years of working experience.
Strong understanding of Adobe Workfront or other project management tools, Power BI and SharePoint online.
Scripting experience with common programming languages would be an considered asset.
Demonstrated business analyst skills. Ability to distill user requirements and implement functional solutions.
Demonstrated project management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities concurrently to meet defined timelines.
Conscientious attention to detail in the development and presentation of data visualization products.
Strong skills in collecting, analyzing, managing and presenting project information.
Ability to work with limited direction at a professional level of responsibility, independently and within a team environment.
Ability to collaborate in a cross functional environment, with a variety of people, on projects of moderate to high complexity.
Driven to personally achieve quality results in a timely and effective manner.
Experience providing presentations and training to different audiences.
A project management or business analyst certificate is an asset, but not required.
