Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the team in Western Canada, based in the Burnaby or Calgary office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Western Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Lead and drive a quality culture at all levels in Western Canada based on doing it right the first time and continuous improvement.
  • Work with the Quality Manager - Western Canada to maintain and improve our quality systems and adhere to operational best practices.
  • Develop and implement the necessary updates to the quality system, standard operating procedures, and policies to meet the Professional Regulations, EXPs quality systems and customer requirements.
  • Maintain documents to support WCs quarterly management review meetings.
  • Participate in internal full system audits based on compliance with Western Canada policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Maintain our Western Canada Professional Practice Management Plan with the review committee.
  • Ensure compliance with non-conformance reporting (NCR) process by managing and monitoring NCR database and ensure that proper records and resolutions have been submitted.
  • Continually developing and reviewing of procedures by managing and monitoring the OFI database to ensure that proper records and solutions are developed.
  • Support our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, Certification.

What your experience looks like

  • At least 7 years of Quality assurance and Quality control experience, preferably in an engineering consultant industry,
  • Background in Consulting Engineering Business.
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality management standards, processes, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multi-work practice teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple scope simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Knowledge on ISO and CSA.
  • Experience in risk identification and management, change management and continuous improvement strongly preferred.
  • Must have prior experience in developing and maintaining QMS, product conformity, materials management systems and general knowledge of Project and Construction Management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written, coupled with an ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships.
  • Proven skill set in the identification, analysis, and resolution of issues and challenges with a commitment to taking decisive action.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs and other manufacturing software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Asset ISO 9001:2015 Auditor Training
