About this opportunity:

The Regulatory Compliance Advisor will be accountable for tasks related to Regulatory Compliance including, but not limited to, building and maintaining compliance registers, tracking and verifying compliance tasks, and conducting reporting on out-standing compliance and corrective actions for Husky Midstream General Partnership (HMGP).

The successful candidate should be an independent self-starter who is well organized, has good attention to detail, and possesses a process driven approach. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a broad scope of work where priorities may change frequently. Additionally, the role requires effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to clearly and concisely present complex issues or concepts, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and lead cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:

  • Collect data and information from a variety of sources and analyze data critically with the aim of building a comprehensive compliance registers, database, and tracker, as well as building RASCIs and process flows as required

  • Build and maintain a compliance and assurance tracking tool and verify that tasks are being completed and reporting on deficiencies and non-compliances

  • Maintain compliance logs, verify evidence, and file all necessary documents to maintain compliance

  • Maintain documentation and evidence for internal and external audits

  • Regulatory maintenance and organization of the Regulatory SharePoint site and filing structure

  • Perform analytical work to support compliance with self-verification of licenses, permits, orders, and approvals, and communicate and track associated compliance conditions and obligations

  • Support self-assessments, regulatory audits, compliance verifications, information requests, and incident response for non-compliance events by gathering various sources of data and evidence and working with SMEs, as well as managing compliance tasks and tracking and reporting on non-compliances

  • Prepare and submit annual submissions accurately and on a timely basis, as per regulatory requirements and obligations

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on the Regulatory Compliance Program to present to leadership (i.e., compliance statistics, audit and assurance results, out-standing corrective actions)

  • Develop regulatory resources such as presentations, memos, or templates

  • Monitor and analyze regulatory changes and proposed updates within the industry to assess potential impacts and relay this information to relevant business areas

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience related to regulatory compliance management

  • Related post-secondary education or equivalent experience is required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements and frameworks in an oil and gas environment, specifically for pipeline and tank storage operations in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Federal (CER) jurisdictions

  • Experience working with operational compliance programs and software (e.g., Enablon, Intelex, Sphera, etc) is considered an asset
