At Pomeroy Loding, we are dedicated to excellence in hospitality, construction, and operations. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our team and support our procurement and purchasing functions across capital and construction projects.

Who You Are

You are a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a passion for procurement. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at sourcing, managing suppliers, and overseeing full-cycle procurement from new builds to renovations. You're detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and enjoy collaborating with multiple teams to ensure seamless project execution.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process for capital and construction projects, from sourcing to final delivery.
  • Prepare and manage all Request for Proposals (RFPs) and tender tracking.
  • Work alongside interior designers and construction teams to facilitate plan distribution, change orders, and meeting documentation.
  • Assist in material takeoffs for Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) and lighting.
  • Oversee FF&E purchases, including fabric orders, shipping logistics, and delivery schedules.
  • Serve as the primary contact for shipping companies and ensure accurate delivery timelines.
  • Track budgets through data entry, purchase order finalization, and document management (quotes, contracts, invoices).
  • Review and follow up on invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Negotiate contracts with key vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality service.
  • Source new vendors and suppliers for goods and services.
  • Assist in the creation of estimates and support the development of capital budgets.
  • Identify and resolve procurement challenges using strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure that all assigned deliverables are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time.
  • Represent and uphold the organization's core values in all interactions.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field (required).
  • 3+ years of senior management experience in hospitality procurement or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in technology and procurement management systems.
  • SCMP (Supply Chain Management Professional) certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Avendra is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Office-based role, Monday to Friday.
  • Fast-paced environment with high interaction across teams and stakeholders.
  • Regular use of technology applications to manage procurement functions.
