About this opportunity:
Reporting to Manager, SAP Applications, this Senior ERP Advisor FI role involves supporting, optimizing, and enhancing SAP FICO functionalities within the SAP ERP system and the ecosystem. As a key member of the team, you will provide technical expertise to ensure seamless Finance operations and deliver business value through continuous system improvements.
This position will be based in our Corporate Office in downtown Calgary, AB.
What you'll do:
Maintain in-depth knowledge of SAP ERP, specific to the FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) module, with the integration with other modules for example PM, MM, PS modules
Provide subject matter expertise under FICO, Treasury, AR, AP (VIM), tax, as well as having the integration knowledge with the bank, third party tax systems and other connected applications
Consult and support during delivery of changes to SAP FICO in collaboration with other operational groups
Provide domain expertise to assist in demand shaping and solution selection processes; assist in the design, deployment and configuration of proof of concept and prototype application services
Ensure relevant performance management activities, such as measurement of Service Level Agreement (SLA) are performed
Coach and support partner in providing necessary assistance during patching, maintenance, upgrades, and other related activities associated with operating an application. This includes supporting partner in resolution of major incidents
Support release management and operational readiness; identify and communicate operational risks
Ensure documentation of application specifications and production of operational support manuals
Understand business requirements and translate them into technical or functional specifications
Support compliance (internal and external regulations and policies) for Security, Compliance & Accreditation processes
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Post-secondary education in Finance or accounting. Computer Programming, Networking, Computer Science or a post-secondary education in Business combined with related IT experience
8 years' experience working as a SAP ERP consultant, with a focus on the FICO module, Oil and Gas industry is preferred
Extensive hands-on experience in configuring and implementing SAP FICO solutions, including integration with other SAP modules
Solid understanding of financial processes. Familiarity with ERP system integration with other systems, such as OpenInvoice, third party tax systems, Concur and Fieldglass.
Experience with SAP S/4 HANA implementation, specifically to the Finance area
A consistent track record of successful program management in complex, multi-function programs. Must have led large, cross-division functional teams or projects that had a long term effect on the organization
Successful track record of working with both business and technical teams to achieve business goals and meet requirements
Should have knowledge of leading integration and functional testing of interfaces and middleware
