This student position will support the Reclamation & Remediation team in managing a high volume of work related to the Detailed Site Assessment (DSA) program, assisting with data management, and supporting site closure activities. This role offers practical experience in environmental stewardship and project management while working closely with industry professionals to achieve site closure goals.

What you'll do
Assist in managing the Detailed Site Assessment program by coordinating with the Follow-Up Reclamation Team and Environmental Site Assessment companies.
Perform data entry, update assessments, initiate jobs, and manage job-related documentation in SiteView and other relevant systems.
Aid in the preparation and submission of Reclamation Certificate Applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Assist with updating and maintaining the Reclamation & Remediation portfolio in SiteView, contributing to prioritization and planning efforts.
Act as a point of contact between the Reclamation & Remediation team, front-line supervisors, and external environmental companies.
Who you are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa).
Available to begin work in May 2025.
Proficiency in data management software such as SiteView, HDMS, CDMS, and CS Land is an asset.
Strong attention to detail for reviewing assessment reports and managing data entries.
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, external partners, and stakeholders.
We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
Education
Must be enrolled in an Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
