Are you looking for an exciting Student/Co-op/Internship opportunity full of meaningful, diverse, and challenging assignments working alongside industry leading professionals? The Space Planning, Design & Construction team is seeking a student who will assist with programming and coordination of various commercial and industrial projects. The successful candidate will gain experience and an enhanced understanding of spatial connectivity, space programming, design, and construction.

What You’ll Do

  • Process staff location data and drawing updates.
  • Collect workspace data for reporting.
  • Walk floors to record layouts, identify inconsistencies and perform related data analysis.
  • Review and respond to Service Now ticket requests pertaining to workspace.
  • Support space planning, design, and construction initiatives in Calgary and at field locations.
  • Participate in project planning, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop skills and knowledge of building workspace standards from design intent to stakeholder adoption.
  • Apply design theory to various commercial and industrial space change requirements.
  • Increase understanding of spatial connectivity, space programming, design, and construction.

Who You Are

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., Work Visa).
  • Available to begin full-time work in September 2024.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience with SharePoint and PowerBI is an asset.
  • Basic design principles and building system knowledge is an asset.

Education

  • Must be enrolled in an Undergraduate Program specializing in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction, or Project Management at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
  • New Graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
