The Opportunity

The Technology Specialist, Policy and Assurance will work across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups to ensure commercial outcomes, in alignment with our Procurement Policy objectives, are being optimized by leveraging advanced technologies. This role will focus on implementing and managing Artificial Intelligence "AI", Enterprise Resource Planning "ERP" systems, Software as a Service "SaaS" solutions and other new technologies to enhance / support supply chain processes and improve stakeholder engagement.

Reporting to the Manager, Policy and Assurance the Technology Specialist, Policy and Assurance has key accountability to develop, implement, and continuously improve best practices to support and enable highly effective execution of supply chain activities. This role will work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure alignment in governance activities to the overall TC Energy governance structure. The Technology Specialist is a key contact with high subject matter expertise in supply chain governance and technology implementation and will be required to act as a team representative on cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiencies for end-to-end supply chain processes, procedures, and standards through the use of technology

  • Support the implementation and day-to-day operations of AI, ERP systems, SaaS solutions and other new technologies to enhance supply chain execution by marrying our document suite with our intended technology requirements

  • Ensure our teams provided guidance for enterprise supply chain policies and processes, align to identified technology platform

  • Recommend and implement technology solutions to improve user experience and transactional efficiencies across all supply chain activities

  • Provide support on Policy objectives to utilize technology in the development of metrics and KPIs to measure the benefits realized from implemented technologies and evaluate current process effectiveness to make recommendations for future state and continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with the Advanced Analytics team to provide quality data to the Supply Chain Leadership team

  • Foster a culture focused on continuous improvement aimed at achieving predictable and efficient supply chain operations and enabling premier customer experience

  • Proactively seek to improve processes by implementing best-in-class technology solutions. Make process changes to existing ways of working to significantly improve measurable outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Six plus (6+) years of experience related to supply chain management, specifically with focus on governance, metrics and conformance

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of ERP systems, technology infrastructure and interface efficiency

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and high aptitude for continuous improvement and the ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers

  • Strong analytical, data management and organizational skills including strong verification and audit skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a governance focused environment with active compliance monitoring

  • Enrollment or completion of certifications or designations related to Supply Chain Management such as SCMP

  • Experience in the Energy industry; midstream experience.
