About the role

As a Systems Engineering Intern you will be working on mission critical software for the control and analytics of uncrewed vehicles and systems.

Lockheed Martin Skunk Works Canada software is deployed globally in Small (SUAS), Medium (Shadow RQ-7), Large (Grey Eagle MQ-1C), and high altitude pseudo satellite (HAPS) systems as well as surface vehicles and target systems.

As part of the Skunk Works team, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting edge next generation ground control system platforms as well as computer vision and AI applications in the air and on the ground.

We're looking for a Systems Engineering Intern to play a critical role in engineering mission critical software for uncrewed vehicles. Primarily, system engineers support the development of these systems by developing the requirements, creating the system design, integrating completed components and testing against the original requirements. You will work tightly with developers to form a cohesive, cross functional team capable of bringing products from mission scenarios to a tested, polished, final product.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supports technical planning, system integration and verification and validation.
  • Support analysis at all levels of total system product including: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Support the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

What you bring to the role

  • Completing Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or STEM discipline
  • Knowledge of systems engineering experience, including requirements engineering, system design, integration and verification and validation
  • Ability to work within a dynamic and fast paced team.
  • Some knowledge of system design and integration.
  • Experience as a tester would be useful
  • Eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods clearance
