Position Summary:

The Technical Administrator, Quality Assurance, is responsible for managing and maintaining technical documentation, manuals, standards, and records to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. This role plays a crucial part in document control, revision tracking, and supporting audits in a regulated environment.

General Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Document & Data Management
  • Maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • First Article Initiation
  • Calibration System & Record Management

Essential Job Functions:

  • Aid in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and industry standards. Ensure document traceability and availability for regulatory inspections.
  • Assist with data entry, record-keeping, and maintenance of QA logs, including change requests, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and manage the document control system, ensuring all quality-related documents are up to date and properly archived.
  • Implement version control and track document approvals, updates, and obsolescence.
  • Train and support employees in document control procedures and best practices.
  • Assist with Internal audits records (checklists, audit reports, CARs), follow-up monitoring.
  • Monitoring actions and initiatives of continuous improvement.
  • Maintenance of training records, monitoring training requirements and training scheduling.
  • Maintain calibration records and equipment logistics.
  • Initiate First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Support maintenance of special process records. Assist with Coordination of all process testing activities (coordinating testing of coupons and external solution analysis).
  • Assist in managing quality records related to training, safety, certifications, and process validations.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure timely document updates and distribution.
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in a document control, quality assurance, or administrative role, preferably in a regulated industry (aviation, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, etc.).
  • Diploma or degree in business Administration, Quality Management, Engineering or a related field, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in document control systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and quality management software.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality management systems is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., Transport Canada, NADCAP, etc.) is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to perform duties in an interruption-driven environment.
  • Ability to complete a criminal background check
  • Must have and maintain the ability to legally work in Canada
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
