Position Title: Process Specialist/lead/area champion

Reports to: Shift Manager/Line Centric Lead

Summary of Position:

Process specialist will be a production "Champion" in both of the production lines and work closely with 2 of the 4 teams (4 on 4 off days) to achieve all plant goals while following the leadership principles. Able to participate in all shift schedules as required. Hours subject to change.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Proactively foster and promote the safe work habits of employees. Ensure safety policies and procedures are coached and followed. Active participation in health & safety initiatives, taking a lead role in safety optimization and the drive towards zero incidents.
  • Participate understand and deliver MDI initiatives as required.
  • Win with customers and consumers by leading recipe control to deliver first time quality.
  • Ensure all HACCP regulations are being followed and documentation is supported.
  • Understand the requirements of customer and plant audits and assist in support.
  • Work with OSI PI to make data driven decisions and "act like an owner" for recipe management.
  • Support delivery of training with plant trainers, supervision and management.
  • Backfill and develop key leadership principles to support supervision when needed.
  • SUM (Startup Management) Leadership projects.
  • Ability to create and rollout Standard Work and One Point Lessons
  • Maintain "Always Audit Ready" mentality.
  • Physical ability to "walk the floor" and assist operators and employees with all job-related tasks.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Physically capable of working in a production environment for required shifts.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)

  • Demonstrated progressively responsible experience working in various factory positions successfully meeting all objectives and responsibilities as required of each role.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written).
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with OSI Pi software and tools.
  • Experience in all related SAP functions.
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritize, and complete tasks with a keen sens of urgency.
  • All post-secondary education, certificates, and training an asset and will be considered relevant to the expectations of job position.
