You as a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager (Building Group) will:

  • HSE team develops policies, strategies, standards, internal controls, along with technical systems and tools in order to centrally help manage our risk and improve the HSE performance across the organization, and all its projects.
  • Develop, implement and maintain specific HSE management system that supports compliance with the applicable federal, provincial and local laws, regulations, and codes for all company operations / assets.
  • Support incident reporting and investigations. Compile, analyze, interpret, and report on potential incidents trends to Senior Leaders and the VP, HSE.
  • Support building operations, working closely with Facilities Managers to ensure compliance with applicable HSE laws and regulations, including routine audits.
  • Develop, initiatives, programs and tools to help support awareness and strengthen our culture
  • Collaborate with internal teams and business lines on best practices and innovative ideas that continually drive improvements
  • Build tools and procedures that are effective and operations focused
  • Support incident reporting and investigations.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in construction, safety, environmental, or compliance.
  • Solid understanding of HSE management systems, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Possess a high level of technical expertise, ability to apply skills to continuous process improvement while maintaining maximum levels of health, safety, environmental compliance
  • A strong Leader with the desire to be a part of a company with an entrepreneurial spirit and a fast-paced, Client First, result-oriented culture.
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Administration
  • National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to obtain Secret (Level II) Clearance
  • Ability to work in Cold Lake, Alberta
