Key Position Functions:

  • Support and initiate new product design, development, and product line management for frac/well stimulation related product, rentals, reconditioning, service tools and service.
  • Provide maintenance and optimization with existing product lines, including revision or modification of existing products.
  • Support and execute on customer orders.
  • Work closely with other engineering team members to provide technical and design support to meet specific customer or product line needs.
  • Advise and provide technical support to operations, sales, field service, manufacturing and the customer on well stimulation projects and product lines.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, such as drawings, procedures, calculations, etc. as it pertains to relevant product lines in accordance with company, HSE and industry standards.
  • Participate in on-site visits to provide engineering support for field trials and equipment installations where applicable.
  • In coordination with the other departments, troubleshoot quality issues as it pertains to material rejects, material review, warranty issues and custom engineering requirements (NCIR's).

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • Minimum 4 years related experience in Frac products and associated projects and services.
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Technical Institute.
  • Membership with APEGA or ASET or eligible to get membership: P. Eng or P. Tech (Eng.) or PE
  • Knowledge of wellhead and Frac products, well stimulation, oil and gas industry, and competitors.
  • Proficient with 3D Modelling and drafting. CREO is an asset.
  • Proficient with and experienced in the use of ANSI, ASME and ISO drafting techniques and geometric tolerance.
  • Knowledge of applicable equipment standards (API, ISO, ASME, etc.).
  • Knowledge of stress analysis and of the development and control of design documentation including technical writing.
  • Ability to maintain a high attention to detail while working on several priorities.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, well organized and desire to gain experience / expand knowledge.
  • A mechanical aptitude and methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Able to support projects within Canada and internationally, with potential for international travel.
