Your Contribution
As a Mechanical Design Technologist, you will work with our Mechanical team in our Edmonton office
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Participate in development of building mechanical systems 2D and 3D documentation using appropriate software
- Support project manager and mechanical engineer as required in systems design
- Share responsibility for monitoring and ensuring quality control during construction
- Generate technical information with minimal guidance and supervision
- Develop complete and final drawings/model from general conceptual information and design notes
- Coordinate Englobe’s drawings with those of other disciplines on each project
- Accountable to other team members and the Project Manager for drawing/model production
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules
Your Profile
- Certificate or Diploma in a related mechanical technology or drafting technology program, or equivalent experience, from an accredited technical college or institute, with an emphasis on facility design and/or building science.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical design engineering for buildings or equivalent experience and responsibilities is required
- A comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- A proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD is considered an asset.
- A minimum of 2 years of Autodesk Revit is required.
- Experience with various types of building and site mechanical systems and the ability to conceptualize in three dimensions is also required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce well-written reports and technical specifications
