MPE, a division of Englobe, is seeking a Municipal Engineer to join our team in our Edmonton office.

Your Contribution
- Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completion
- Perform design, construction site inspections, and contract administration duties
- Develop and review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
- Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
- Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technologists
Your Profile
- B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and membership with APEGA
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in construction observation and contract administration
- Working knowledge of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems
- Proficiency in computer software for modelling and spreadsheet analysis
- Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods
- Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere
- Self-motivated with leadership potential
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Replacement and upgrade of underground water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure
- Development of water treatment and pumping facilities
- Wastewater collection, pumping, and treatment facilities
- Infrastructure assessments and studies
