Key Position Functions:

  • Manage projects to ensure they are on-time and completed in collaboration with manufacturing, quality assurance, sales and service.
  • Document engineering design input requirements for the project.
  • Improve project efficiencies by utilizing standard items where applicable. Where standard product lines cannot be used, provide customer with custom product solutions.
  • Ensure the solution offered provides the best technical, commercial, and quality product in accordance with the customers requirement, applicable industry standards, and Global Product Line Strategy.
  • Support sales and service teams so customers receive exceptional technical support.
  • Assess, evaluate, and incorporate technical requirements for the project, including input from external agencies sales and end users to determine their specific design requirements and determine the best solution for the application utilizing standard Stream-Flo product lines.
  • Review customer RFP and RFQ documents for technical requirements and develop the project outline.
  • Submit any commercial, technical, or quality clarifications to the customer using the most practical method.
  • Review custom product design solutions for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, industry standards, customer requirements and related specifications.
  • Develop and deliver presentations required for customer design reviews / meetings.
  • Conceptual design of wellhead equipment in accordance with API 6A including 3D modelling, design calculations and stress analysis.
  • Production of wellhead assembly drawings and installation sequence drawings.
  • Review of quotations for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provides guidance to junior engineers / co-op students and technical staff on technical issues, corporate policies, and project management.
  • Verify that the completed design output from the core engineering department meets all input requirements.
  • Perform all project management related activities.

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following:

  • Minimum 4 years related experience in wellhead, frac products and associated services.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of Stream-Flo products and applications for each product.
  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Technical Institute preferred, will consider combination of other related education and experience.
  • Membership with APEGA or ASET or eligible to get membership: P. Eng or P. Tech (Eng.) or PE preferred.
  • Proficient with 3D Modeling and drafting.
  • Proficient with and experienced in the use of ANSI, ASME and ISO drafting techniques and geometric tolerance.
  • Knowledge of all API/ISO Product Requirements.
  • Knowledge of stress analysis and of the development and control of design documentation including technical writing.
  • Ability to maintain a high attention to detail while working on several priorities.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, well organized and desire to gain experience / expand knowledge.
  • A mechanical aptitude and methodical approach to problem solving.
