About this opportunity:
Reporting to the Sr. Coordinator NPI & Fluid Management (FM), the Coordinator, NPI Trades is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team of trades and operations personnel to operate and maintain all site Non-process Infrastructure including Camps, Support Buildings, Potable Water Treatment Plants, Waste Water Treatment Plants and associated distribution and gathering systems. In this role you will be responsible for working with all groups and collaborators on site, as well as supporting offsite Business Units to effectively support and improve the NPI portfolio. Additionally, this position is responsible for supporting NPI projects, Process Plant Turnarounds, and Process Plant and Field operations as required.
While this vacancy is currently at Foster Creek, this posting could be used to fill vacancies at any of the three Oil Sands Operations sites. (Christina Lake, Foster Creek, or Sunrise, based on business need)

This is a full-time employee position working a shift of 7 days on 7 days off, 12 hours per day, Wednesday to Tuesday
Foster Creek has full-service camp facilities
Depending on your place of residence and your shift rotation, bus and/or air transportation to/from site is offered from designated departure points in select locations
Foster Creek is serviced by flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton
What you'll do:
Budget and spend for NPI operations and maintenance
Accountable for team performance and KPIs including safety reporting, incident investigation and corrective actions, PM compliance, CM compliance, schedule compliance, backlog management, and resource utilization and management
Lead the operation and maintenance of NPI buildings, camps, tents, and other structures including associated exterior areas
Oversee potable water treatment plants and waste water treatment plants
Manage raw water distribution, potable water distribution, fire water distribution, and waste water gathering systems
Coordinate and maintain radio, IT, WiFi, and cable TV systems for uninterrupted service
Collaborate with external groups including workplace and real estate, operations, process de-oiling, steam and water, supply chain, and warehouse
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
8+ years relevant industry, maintenance, and project experience
2+ years of leadership experience with a strong proficiency for coaching and mentoring others
Relevant trade certification, post-secondary education and/or related experience
Familiar with CMMS and scheduling software, with planning and scheduling experience considered an asset - SAP experience is an asset
Strong leadership, team skills, and the ability to work independently
Solid understanding of reporting protocols, including Alberta Health Services regulations for potable water, Alberta Environment and Parks regulations for waste water, and building codes related to fire and life safety equipment, gas, and electrical systems
Strong analytical, planning, and business skills combined with effective communication, influencing abilities, and a collaborative work style

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
