About this opportunity:
Our Maintenance & Reliability - Oil Sands Operations organization has an engaging opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Planner to join their team.
Reporting to the Coordinator, Planning and Scheduling, the Senior Maintenance Planner will perform routine maintenance planning as required for craft and/or process area of responsibility. This includes providing accurate job plans for the assigned AWT. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively and is a standout colleague who is a dependable problem solver.
While this vacancy is currently at Foster Creek, this posting could be used to fill vacancies at any of the three Oil Sands Operations sites Christina Lake, Foster Creek, or Sunrise, based on business need
Work Environment:
FOSTER CREEK
This is a full-time employee position working a shift of 11.43 hours per day, 7 days on, 7 days off, Wednesday to Tuesday
Foster Creek has full-service camp facilities
Depending on your place of residence and your shift rotation, bus and/or air transportation to/from site is offered from designated departure points in select locations
Foster Creek is serviced by flight Hubs in Calgary and Edmonton
What you'll do:
Provide E/I planning for the SWU AWT
Develop detailed job plans and work packages
Stay in sync with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
Implement and maintain predictive and preventative maintenance programs
Communicate with materials management to ensure all required parts, spares and materials are available for each job
Work closely with area teams, including schedulers, engineers, area leads and operations to improve work force efficiency
Control, manage and report on backlog work activities
Monitor established maintenance practices and recommend procedure improvements
Support and participate in regulatory and turnaround planning
Conduct field inspections
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Electrical or Instrumentation Journeyperson certificate
8 + years experience as a journeyperson
Maintenance planning and SAP knowledge or experience would be an asset
Knowledge of a SAGD oil sands facility would be an asset
Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving and organizational skills
Extensive knowledge of maintenance and reliability practices
Self-motivated and team orientated
Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate
