We're looking for a safety professional who works as an integral part of a team, committed to the implementation, coordination, administration, and promotion of Tolko's Safety Program. We're here to ensure every single person at our mill, goes home safely every single day.

We're looking for a Safety Facilitator to join our High Prairie Oriented Strand Board (OSB) division, located in High Prairie, Alberta. Our Mill has recently undergone an exciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning if a new continuous press which makes us the most modern mill in North America.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • General knowledge of OSB manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in development, organization and delivery of training programs.
  • Grade 12 education or equivalent is required.
  • Additional training/education specific to safety is preferred.
  • Completed or working towards Occupational Health and Safety Certificate/Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient use of various office-based software including, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a desire to learn and innovate.

In this role, you will:

  • Work alongside the Safety and Asset Protection Advisor to maintain safety compliance.
  • Identify and develop program plans and actions to implement Tolko's OHS program.
  • Focus on standardizing safety training materials and implementing strategic safety plans.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in safety training for employees and contractors at the mill.
