What You’ll Be Doing:
- Assist in the production of engineering designs and drawings that meet all client and approval agency requirements and standards
- Transform preliminary concepts and sketches into engineering designs, plans and project informational requirements, using primarily Civil 3D, as well as other technical software as needed
- Coordinate the preparation of documents required for approvals, prepare development and construction cost estimates and tender documents and contracts, and coordinate with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets and quality control standards are achieved
- Identify field and design issues and facilitate corrective measures
- Liaise with contractor, client and affected stakeholders during construction operations
What You’ll Bring:
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology plus one year of experience with municipal design
- Registration as an AScT, or other technical accreditation, is an asset
- Proficiency in Civil 3D Software is essential
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills (verbal & written); ability to produce accurate field notes
- Ability to work independently and also within a busy and high-performing team
