Job Description

Reporting to the Machine Shop Director (Dotted line to the Assemble Director & the MRO Senior Director), the Maintenance Manager is the direct manager of the maintenance team and responsible for the availability of the Production and Assembly means of OE and MRO as well as responsible for the leadership and development of the Maintenance functions.

As Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for

• Performance management:
• Overall performance, development and maintenance of production technical resources/assets and capability (equipment, environment and personnel) for the Machine Shop, Assembly and MRO
• Managing the maintenance budget and ensure effective internal and external resources allocation.
• Monitor and analyze performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, etc.).
• Develop/update maintenance processes and procedures.

• Team Supervision
• Lead, train, coach a team of Maintenance technicians and Engineers.
• Develop the skills of the team members in line with the production means currently at SLS TOR, to be received and new technologies (Sensors, WinCC, etc.)
• Ensure a strong working relationship with your colleagues and customers, both internally and externally to the business.

• Strategy and Optimization
• Develop a strategy to improve the availability of production means using tools such as Problem solving, FMEA etc.
• Participate to the efforts leading to SLS TOR competitiveness improvement by driving efficiency and cost improvements whilst ensuring delivery, quality and internal customer satisfaction
• Developing and executing a roadmap towards Condition Based Maintenance by integrating innovative technologies (IoT for instance).
• Participate to the selection of Investment selection (Machines etc.)

• Safety and Compliance
• Adhere to regulatory requirements and ensuring that the team and the external contractors are adhering to the Safran Landing Systems Toronto HSE rules
• Ensure equipment compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

Skills & Core Competencies: Expertise in maintenance technologies (mechanical, electrical, automation), root cause analysis, production mean FMEA and CMMS tools. Rigor, analytical skills, proactivity, and strong relational abilities. Demonstrate a desire and ability to deliver change

Education &/or Certifications: Relevant degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or electro technical engineering.

Work Experience: Ideally 10 years experience in aerospace or industrial maintenance.

Specialized Knowledge: Team Management, Leadership, Cross-Functional team mgmt., Customer oriented, pro-active and Autonomous, Performance driven, Delegation.

Communication Skills:
Internal: Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment, and embark teams, Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, ability to build strong rapport with different functions of the organization. Lead by Example.

External: Respect, effective and synthetic communication.
