Brock Canada is seeking an Estimator to join our team. The Estimator is responsible for accurately calculating the total costs associated with tendering Scaffolding, Insulation, Paintings, Coatings and Fireproofing scopes of work in the Industrial sector. They are required to compile estimates of how much it will cost to provide a client or potential client with products or services. They will work out how much a project is likely to cost and create budgets accordingly. They must be able to determine the material, labour and equipment required, and analyze quotes from suppliers and in some cases, sub-contractors.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
College degree or at least five years craft knowledge in Scaffolding
Strong computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction.
Competent in the use of Navisworks 3D models & AutoCAD software.
The ability to problem solve, organize, and prioritize to deliver within a high-pressure environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Professional and concise communication in written and oral form
Excels at operating in a fast pace and diverse environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Production of all relevant documentation in adherence with company procedures.
An ability to interpret detailed scopes of work, drawings and specifications.
Travel to operational sites for surveys and meetings.
Consulting with company managers, supervisors and foremen, as well as clients.
Provision of guidance, advice and technical support to management and supervisors
Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines
Interacts with field/site management and corporate/functional management.
Interpret and understand client requirements.
