About this opportunity:

The Conventional Operations team has an exciting opportunity available for an SAP Maintenance Data Analyst. This position requires a technically specialized individual who has extensive experience with data management, data governance, and data administration of Maintenance Management Systems. The candidate must have strong project facilitation skills with a demonstrated ability to partner with collaborators to achieve success.

This position will manage initiatives related to data improvement by supporting the Conventional Operations business, the SAP Master Data Team is responsible for the accurate digital representation of Cenovus's of facility, well and equipment data in a Maintenance Management System (SAP).This position is responsible for the updating and maintenance of the Conventional standard planning and scheduling documents in CDMS as it pertains to the Maintenance Data Technician role.

What you'll do:

  • Data management activities within SAP Plant Maintenance such as verifying data accuracy, executing data changes from requests, and perform data cleansing

  • Work collaboratively with a range of customers including Maintenance, Operations, Construction, and Engineering to load equipment data into SAP

  • Align with data standards, procedures, and best practices but must challenge work processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the teams' activities

  • Interpret data reports, technical documents, engineered drawings and various sources of data to ensure high accuracy and data quality

  • Process notifications to build/update SAP Function Location, Equipment and Assembly master data

  • Verify asset data accuracy through investigation, document review, conversations, audits, etc. and correct discrepancies prior to loading into SAP

  • Documents include technical drawings, calibration reports, assessment reports, inspection reports, service reports, audits, etc.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • 2+ years of experience with SAP HR, FI, MM, BW

  • 2+ years of experience with project management

  • Business or Technical Diploma and or equivalent training is an asset

  • Oil and gas equipment knowledge is an asset

  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
