THE OPPORTUNITY

Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. ("Triton") is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Contaminated Sites Project Manager, to join a well-established team of environmental professionals, and with this role being based anywhere within British Columbia.

The successful candidate will be a part of the Assessment and Reclamation team who work throughout western Canada. In this role you will be responsible for supporting and providing technical oversight in the delivery of projects and in providing mentorship to more junior staff. Our client base ranges from regional clients to multi-national oil and gas companies, to government, First Nations, power management, and transportation firms.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Planning, organizing, and providing technical oversight to a diverse array of contaminated sites and reclamation projects, people, and tasks.
  • Providing regulatory expertise regarding contaminated sites work.
  • Liaising and negotiating with partners, clients, regulators, contractors, and sub-contractors.
  • Writing and reviewing high-quality technical reports, cost estimates, and proposals.
  • Leading technical teams to ensure the quality, cost, and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Providing mentorship and training for our environmental professional team.
  • Providing excellent service to existing clients and maintaining those relationships.
  • Supporting corporate business development initiatives.
  • Ensuring clients' and Triton's safety standards are maintained or exceeded.
  • Working collaboratively within the Triton corporate culture.
  • Acting as Triton's point of contact with the Engineers and Geoscientists BC and tasks associated with a Permit to Practice.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in the contaminated sites and remediation industry
  • P.Eng. designation in BC.
  • Detailed knowledge of and experience with relevant Federal (CCME) and Provincial legislation, environmental standards, regulations and guidelines (BC EMA, BC CSR, BC HWR, etc.).
  • Experience in other jurisdictions (AB, ON) would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with project management, leading projects, leading project teams (i.e., budgeting, project tracking, and scope control) and with leadership and supervision.
  • A quick learner, easily adapting to new software applications, systems, and business processes.
  • Effective writing skills, and ability to produce meaningful reports and proposals.
  • Superbly organized and self-managed, with a collaborative working style.
  • Strong problem-solver able to address challenges with effective solutions that improve systems and/or relationships, and with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Valid driver's licence with no restrictions.

SCHEDULE

This is a flexible position that can be based anywhere within British Columbia and can be done remotely or through a hybrid work schedule (coming into any of Triton's BC office locations). This role may require limited travel, as business needs arise.

COMPENSATON

The pay range for this role is $105,000 - $140,000.


The compensation is dependent upon candidate experience and qualifications.
