Our Firewatch/Weekend Cleanup employees keep our business running smoothly. They make sure the production and trades teams have a clean environment to work in, which is essential for a safe and efficient workplace. We have a perfect opportunity for anyone that wants to work on weekends to make some extra income. No experience? Not a problem! We provide all the training you need to succeed.

We're looking for a Firewatch/Weekend Cleanup labourer to join our EcoLogo-certified facility located in Armstrong, British Columbia. Our Armstrong Lumber Division safely and sustainably produces 234 million board feet every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Commitment to working safely.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Preferably be a student enrolled in full time study.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Must be 18 years or older due to employment standards legislation.
  • Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset.

Your workday will look something like this:

  • You will do general clean up throughout the mill.
  • You will support our tradespersons to ensure hot work is done safely.
