This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Campbell River, BC.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Lot Attendant will be responsible for yard clean-up and organization; some shop clean-up; truck and equipment washing duties. This position performs such duties as power washing trucks and equipment, moving vehicles, and cleaning the service lot.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Power washes/steam cleans all brands and makes of trucks and equipment
  • Moves vehicles and equipment in a safe and conscientious manner, asking for help or direction if unsure of vehicle operation
  • Ensures the wash bay is kept clean at all times.
  • Performs routine building maintenance in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees
  • Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary.
  • Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, inside and outside.
  • Removes all debris/garbage from lot and cleans up all scrap.
  • Pulls weeds.
  • Sweeps lot where needed.
  • Cleans up outside lunch area.
  • Paints tables.
  • Paints lines for organized parking of service and parts trucks.
  • Helps with shop clean-up.
  • Becomes familiar with and complies with the company’s Health & Safety Manual.
  • Other duties may be assigned

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Ability to become WHMIS certified, if necessary
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s Licence: Class 3 with Airbrake Endorsement or Class 1 (to test drive truck & trailer)

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 kgs or 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk around exterior yard area (long periods standing / walking / bending).
  • Must have the mobility to easily access and egress trucks and equipment.
  • Must be willing and able to work various shifts, possibly including weekends.

PAY RANGE

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $44,000 per year, based on experience.
