You as a Project Manager - Furniture, Equipment & Design will:

  • Provide daily on-site project management to support furniture and equipment planning, procurement, and transition management activities for healthcare construction projects.
  • Work with client user groups to manage expectations (end-users, clinicians, etc.).
  • Facilitate client meetings and presentation such as attending FF&E showroom tours, vendor presentations and installation visits.
  • Manage project schedules/work plans and delegate duties & tasks accordingly.
  • Manage the development of work processes, work plans, project budgets, fees, schedules and procurement packages.
  • Host monthly steering committee meetings and provide status reports to clients.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of internal and external clients to meet or exceed their expectations within the organizational parameters.
  • Manage, execute and lead equipment and user moves and transitions into healthcare facilities.
  • Mentor and coach ED FED teammates

Is this the right role for you?

  • Must be able to work on-site in Cowichan.
  • Minimum of 10 years working experience on healthcare projects.
  • Post-Secondary Education in business administration or design management is preferred but not required.
  • Previous work on DBFM and/or AFP model projects (Public Private Partnerships) is an asset.
  • Transition and move management experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Google office is required.
  • Knowledge and competency with respect to Virtual Design and Construction/ Building Information Modelling (VDC/BIM)
  • Effective communication, building relationships, teamwork, organizational skills and problem solving are necessary.
