This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Kamloops, Prince George, or Langley

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Equipment Technical Support Representative acts as the liaison between the company and equipment manufacturers while having frequent interaction with branch service managers, technicians, sales representatives, and customers. The prime focus will be on Tigercat Processing heads, and Traction Line / Harvest Line steep slope machines, along with Link Belt and Case Construction Equipment.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages delivery and set up of all new Tigercat Processing heads.
  • Manages delivery and set up of Traction Line and Harvest Line Steep slope logging equipment.
  • Manages common failures across the business and acts as the liaison with equipment manufacturers to find a resolution.
  • Provides support to the service managers for complex equipment repair and troubleshooting issues.
  • Works directly with manufacturers on projects that support product and service improvement or enhancement.
  • Identifies new issues and investigates to understand product reliability problems.
  • Supports the introduction of new products and services from equipment manufacturers.
  • Becomes familiar with and complies with the company's Health & Safety Manual.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Certification and/or forestry equipment operator experience
  • Industry experience specifically in heavy-duty equipment sales and service
  • Strong technical experience in all aspects of heavy-duty equipment operation and repair is required
  • Experience with forestry processing heads is required
  • Experience with steep slope logging equipment is required
  • Experience operating logging equipment is required
  • Able to meet the requirements to travel to Inland locations, customer sites, and manufacturer facilities on a regular basis (approximately 3 weeks per month).
  • Preferred knowledge on, but not limited to, Tigercat, Case, Link Belt products
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Valid Driver's License required

SALARY

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000 annually.
