Your Opportunity
Our Vancouver office is seeking a Project Management and Delivery Lead responsible for leading a team Project Managers and Project Controls Specialists to drive the implementation of a unified service offering across the Business Centre in support of excellence in project execution and operational success. In this role, you will be responsible for the vision and development of a unified Project Management and Controls team able to respond to diverse projects including alternate delivery, small studies to large $10M fees, as well as client and sector specific requirements.
Responsible and accountable for:
Project Management and Controls Leadership - formulating and implementing project management/controls resourcing and strategy including standards of excellence, effective and consistent project financial management, team structure, resourcing, and development.
Community of Practice - fostering collaboration across the Business Centers, Operation Leaders, and Project Managers to drive a unified approach to commercial project management / project controls that enhances our position in the market while supporting internal project management, reporting and compliance.
The Project Management and Delivery Lead will advance these responsibilities through engaging across the region with local Project Managers and Operation Leaders.
This role will sit within the local Buildings Business Centre and report to the Regional Major Projects Lead for Canada West. It is estimated this person will spend 60% of their time supporting projects and 40% supporting initiatives for their local Business Centre.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
Possess general understanding of core and shell and interiors design and construction
Experience managing large complex projects (Healthcare, Commercial, Retail, Aviation, Transportation, Education, and Justice)
Demonstrated experience in Alternative Project Delivery models
Education and Experience
Bachelor or Master's degree in project management, architecture, engineering, interior design, or equivalent in work experience.
Minimum of 10 years' experience managing complex projects and team's.
Professional designation and/or PMP preferred

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
