JOB OVERVIEW

The Continuous Improvement (CI) manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and is responsible to manage various maintenance operational improvement projects on behalf of the COO and DOM. The Manager leads the CI department and CI related projects, including, but are not limited to, process improvement projects, process mapping projects, system implementations, change management, collaboration, and communication improvement projects.

The CI manager also supports senior management and other KF Aerospace (KFA) departments through advice, and sharing knowledge and experience related to process improvement, change management and general organizational improvements. The CI manager works closely with several IT groups to implement new or modify applications.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage large-scale improvement I projects across the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement new systems.
  • Champion change management initiatives and mentor staff in best practices.
  • Analyze, design, and visualize (new) KFA processes to improve KFA process efficiency and solve operational bottlenecks and process related issues.
  • Advise senior leadership on organizational improvements, particularly within Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations
  • Develop an innovation program in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings and ensure actionable outcomes.
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture through initiatives like the KF Ideas platform.
  • Provide mentorship and performance feedback to direct reports.
  • Travel to other KF locations as required (up to 4 weeks annually).
  • Other tasks assigned by the COO.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business-related).
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven expertise in process analysis, system implementation, and change communication.
  • Leadership experience in a complex business environment.
  • Change management (Prosci) and PMP certifications are assets.
  • Proven experience creating and executing change communication plans.
  • Proven experience co-creating process solutions and system requirements together with end users and other stakeholders leading to a successful go live for said solution or system required.
  • Minimum 3 years leadership experience leading a team in a complex business environment.

SALARY

  • $93,000-$116,000 annually (KF Level 13)


Note: This role is based in Kelowna, BC and can be either 100% on-site or hybrid. It is not a remote role.
