Fleet & Rentals Technician

As a Fleet & Rentals Technician, you play an essential role in supporting the Fleet coordinator on the day-to-day operations of the fleet and rental department. You are integral in assisting with inventory management, property tracking and ensuring the fleet's and facility's overall functionality and cleanliness.

What you will be responsible for:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the fleet vehicles and rental equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with vehicles and rental equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
• Ensure that all vehicles and rental equipment meet safety and regulatory standards and address any safety concerns promptly.
• Implement scheduled maintenance plans, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, and a battery changes to extend the lifespan of the vehicles and rental equipment.
• House keeping of shop and yard.
• Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for vehicle maintenance and
  repair.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts replaced, repairs performed, and
  maintenance schedules.
• Provide exceptional customer service by phone, email, and in person.
• Deliver rental equipment to worksites and vendors.
  
• Perform basic fleet maintenance (e.g. fluids, light bulbs, wiper blades, batteries etc.)

What we need from you:

• High school diploma or equivalent certification preferred.
• Must have a Class 5 driver's license with clean driving record.
• Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and especially with a fleet of vehicles and rental equipment.
• Be comfortable driving and towing trailers long distances when needed.
  
• Must be comfortable using mobile applications like Google Sheets, etc.

Where/When you will be working:

• 40 hour work week.
• Possible shift work including evenings and weekends with the primary shift between 11:30 AM and 8PM.
• Working outside and in the warehouse/yard.

The recruitment process for this role typically lasts 1 to 2 weeks and includes a phone interview, behavioral assessment and an in-person interview.
