Purpose
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will get the opportunity to support the maintenance of a wide range of equipment critical to the operation of our campus infrastructure. While operating the University’s power plant, bio energy plant and facilities infrastructure, you will ensure compliance with the Boiler Pressure Vessel Safety Regulations and Technical Safety BC. You will lead the response to all fire alarms, power outages and equipment failures to ensure the control and safety of occupants of the campus facilities.

In this role, you will keep moving, while getting to work in one of the finest facilities in the North. You will be performing daily rounds, troubleshooting process equipment, performing planned maintenance, responding to fire alarms, and operating our natural gas boilers and the bio energy plant.

Salary
This position has been classified at a Grade 8A. The annual salary range for this position is $73,694.40 to $76,731.20 and the normal starting salary will be $73,694.40.
This position requires shift work. The normal hours of work will require rotating
–7:00pm and 7:00pm – 7:00am.
