This position supports safe, efficient and compliant installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems across DP World Prince Rupert machinery and equipment.

Diagnosing electrical problems and troubleshooting systems
Ensuring all work adheres to national and provincial electrical codes
Minimizing downtime and preventing electrical hazards
About You
Must hold a valid Red Seal Electrician certification
Able to identify possible safety hazards that may be encountered on the job site and describe corrective actions required.
Capable of working at heights
Good troubleshooting skills and ability to read and interpret schematics and manuals.
Good knowledge of the electrical components of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, Valves, and actuators, and other mechanical equipment
Good knowledge of Electrical Systems, including PLC, VFDs, and motors.
Good understanding of Preventive, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance System including detailed reporting
Good communication skills
Willing to be Trained in the operation and maintenance of Quay Cranes, Rubber Tire Gantry, Aerial Lifts, Forklifts, Tractors, and other mobile equipment
Able to lift, carry, move, and transport up to 50 lbs
Able to ride compact elevators as necessary
Able to provide detailed reports on completed tasks
