Industrial Mechanic (Millwright/machinist) Fdn Instructor

The College of New Caledonia requires a sessional instructor to teach full-time (February - July) in our Industrial Mechanic (Millwright/Machinist) program.

• Interprovincial Trades Qualification in the Millwright trade
• Minimum of five years experience working as a Millwright Journeyperson in a number of industrial settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both individual and group situations
• Preference will be given to applicants who are current in the trade, who have proven teaching and/or supervisory experience and a Provincial (BC) Instructors Diploma or completion of a Train the Trainer/Instructional Techniques program.
• Two years of instructional experience
• Preference will be given to candidates who are current in the trade and who have recent proven teaching and/or supervisory experience.
• The successful candidate should be able to deal effectively with students on an individual or group basis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams) is required.
• Completion of the Provincial Instructor's Diploma Program (PIDP) would be considered an asset.

Prep and Orientation - January 23-31, 2025
Instruction - February 3 - July 18, 2025
Vacation - July 21 - August 25, 2025
